I made it to Oakland, after much trial and tribulation. I came back for the weekend to drop off my dad's truck and to take care of my parents' cat while they're in Croatia. On the drive here the truck stopped accelerating and the speed started to drop. I managed to get it to the end of an off ramp in Pinole as soon as I noticed something was up. ( Read more... )

No one in my family understands just how much I cannot afford to do Christmas this year. See's isn't giving me any shifts or hours. If things go about like this, I'll have to choose between books and food again.
